About AHCS
Academy of Healthcare Services is an Edmonton school that trains people for careers in community support, addiction services, and health care.
At the Academy of Healthcare Services (AHCS), we believe education is more than preparing students for a career — it's about preparing them to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
We are a supportive learning community of educators, mentors, and students committed to providing quality education and practical training in health and community care. Through a holistic approach to learning, we help students develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and compassion needed to succeed in today's evolving healthcare environment.
Our programs are designed to connect education with real-world experience, giving students opportunities to build practical skills while developing professionally and personally.
Whether you are beginning your career, changing career paths, or looking to expand your skills, AHCS is committed to helping you move forward with purpose.
To empower individuals to be globally competitive through unparalleled holistic health education, rooted in strong values and lifelong learning — all committed to building a sustainable future.
To achieve the highest standards in healthcare education by delivering a multidisciplinary learning experience through collaborative efforts between the school and the community.

“Dream big.”
Linny grew up in the Philippines, the only girl among three siblings. As a child, she learned to ride a bike that was much too big for her. She fell many times, but she always got back up and tried again, until she found her balance. That lesson stayed with her: no challenge is too big if you keep going.
When she came to Canada, Linny started with a job in a coffee shop and then cleaning homes. She saw every job as a chance to learn, and she worked her way up to building her own cleaning business. That was the start of her journey as a business owner.
Today, Linny leads several businesses, including the Academy of Healthcare Services and a home care organization. She believes real success is measured by the lives we help along the way, and she is proud to build teams that feel like family.
Her story is a reminder for every student: where you begin does not decide where you can go.
